What a great place! Why isn't all steak covered in onions, peppers and tomatoes? Amazing. A family-run restaurant in a space no bigger than a typical house. Couldn't ask for a better atmosphere, and they give you a whole tray of pickled peppers! Outstanding! Couldn't have asked for a better Father's Day meal.

The food here is amazing for the price. It is authentic latin american food at a great price. The service was quick even though the restaurant was full. Overall a great place to stop and dine at.

Great food and super cheap prices. The place is small but not crowded so the service is fast. The bistec was amazing.

Last couple times I went I enjoyed their tacos especially when their tortillas are made in house. This time thought I'd see how close their torta is like the one I had in Mexico City. At $9.01, that's higher than average price I paid for all other tortas I had in the area. However, OMG all the ingredients including the bread tastes fresh. I like the bread's buttery hint. Right amount of toppings. I'd say the quality of the chicken cutlet is best so far of all tortas I had in the area. What sucks is it is so thin that even the bread and toppings overwhelm it a little. I see myself ordering it again in the future although maybe not as much as at El Taco Azteca or El Rey Taqueria y Rostiseria.

Listen up pricks, this establishment was here before Hyattsville went all pretentious. La Fondita is hidden in a neighborhood so you will never find this place unless you research Mexican restaurants in the nearby area (there are plenty in Riverdale) or you just happen to be running along Route 1 alternate or the Anacostia Trail. It's an actual house that turned into a restaurant. It looks like crap on the outside and look even worse on the inside. They are able to charge nothing because they don't give two shit about its interior... which is what I want from my Mexican restaurant. I would either get the tacos or the breakfast platters. It was all dank. Get anything.
